We are so elated to see the community come out to support the strikers in every way, but this is such a heartwarming show of support it merits its own mentioning.

Liberación Juice Station, described by local blog Carpe Durham as “a reason to get up on Saturday morning,” has donated two homemade juices: “Vivacious Victoria,” a fresh-pressed juice Ginger hibiscus, cinnamon and honey, and a second named for our fighters, “The D.R.E.A.M. is Alive,” made of lemon balm, nettles, lemon verbena, lemongrass, orange blossom and agave.

“I put a lot of love into these,” said Zulayka Santiago, owner of Liberación Juice Station. “I wanted to show solidarity.”

This replenishes our bodies, warms our hearts and uplifts our spirits. Thank you Zulayka: we hope everyone reading this blog stops by the Durham Farmers Market to buy some of your delicious smoothies, teas and juices.
